Electrolysis Hair Removal

BY FRESH FACE SKIN STUDIO

At Fresh Face Skin Studio, Brady Sharline is an electrolysis expert who provides the perfect solution to clients that struggle with unwanted hair. Through electrolysis hair removal, my clients reap the benefits of the only permanent method of hair removal approved by the FDA. My holistic approach is the fastest, safest, and most effective way to remove hair anywhere on the body.

I use iMM-Pac computer chip technology to ensure permanent and comfortable treatment for all of my clients. Each appointment is done in 15-minute increments—from 15 to 120 minutes total. this method combined with this technology guarantees the removal of blonde, clear, white, dark, and any other hair color on any part of the body—including sensitive areas. At Fresh Face Skin Studio, I employ the best methods combined with the latest technology and years of my expertise. This allows me to also effectively remove skin tags, telangiectasia (collapsed capillaries), and cherry angiomas.

How Does Electrolysis Hair Removal Work?

Specializing in skin of color, I use a fine, sterile probe— the same size as the hair— that is inserted into the follicle to efficiently and permanently remove any unwanted hair. I feel for the bottom of the follicle to target where the hair's papilla/root cell exists, which is the hair's life source. Once this target is felt, currents are applied that work to destroy the root cell, thus weakening the hair leading to its ultimate removal.

How much hair does one electrolysis treatment remove?

There are many factors that influence the treatment of hair: hair growth cycle, heredity, the quantity and structure of the hair, hormones, possible side-effects of medications, and previous methods of hair removal.
Since the sterile probe is straight, only part of the distorted follicle or curly hair is treated on the first treatment. Several attempts may be required depending upon how the skin is affected: ingrown hairs, scarred skin, curly hair, etc. to eventually reach the root.

How does the skin look after a hair removal treatment?

At the end of your treatment, post-care will include an anti-bacterial treatment with topical cream and sunscreen. Some clients are pink in the treated area for an hour after the appointment.

How long does electrolysis take to remove all hair?

All hairs have different growth cycles and are not visible on the skin's surface at the same time. This means not all hairs are living and therefore treatable every visit. However, the life cycle of hair is 1-3 weeks.

Maintaining a treatment schedule, every 1-3 weeks ensures an effective treatment since living, viable hairs are being treated.

What is the aftercare and follow up for electrolysis hair removal?

The treated area is susceptible to breakouts from bacteria and sweat. Do not touch or scratch the treated area for 12 hours following your appointment. Keep it clean with simple witch hazel and bacitracin ointment (polysporin). For any treatment on the body, wait 12 hours to exercise. Shower with medium-temperature water and keep the area clean. Avoid hot water, steam, sauna, as it will open the follicle, making it vulnerable to bacteria.

Wear sunscreen (SPF) on the treated area. During treatment, your skin is "injured”, and sun exposure will result in hyper-pigmentation. SPF is a must. Always call or text me with any after care concerns or questions you may have. We will work together with product samples to help your skin adjust to the treatment.

Laser Hair Removal vs. Electrolysis Hair Removal

Laser hair removal and electrolysis hair removal are both long-term hair removal methods. They both target hair follicles located under the skin’s surface. Unlike laser hair removal, electrolysis is backed by the FDA as a permanent hair removal solution.

Not only does electrolysis provide a permanent result, it can also prevent new hair growth for all skin and hair types. Electrolysis can be used anywhere on the body, including the most sensitive areas.
